Having over 20 years of management experience in the software industry, Jim Hendrickson took the helm of Onco Inc in late 2007. Prior to his work as Onco’s CEO, he was the Technical Director and Database Architect for a little over a decade. In this role, he helped make the transition from the DOS version of ONCOLOG to Windows and oversaw the development of several new product lines including Protocol Data Manager and Breast Outcomes Manager.  Before joining the Onco Inc. team, Jim worked at a small software company in Northern N.J. called TSI as their project manager for all web related applications. As a programmer and avid technology guru, Jim remains intimately involved in all aspects of product development and technical support. His commitment to customer satisfaction and product reliability are the defining principles of Onco Inc.

Theodore J. Williamson, MD, PhD, CTR. – Medical Director and Founder

Dr. Ted Williamson and his wife, Eileen, founded Onco Inc. in 1983 based on the idea that cancer registry data is a unique and powerful tool in the fight against cancer. Having achieved his B.S. in Engineering Physics and PhD in Nuclear Engineering from The University of Washington he began his career as a graduate school physics professor.  An opportunity to participate as a consultant in the development of a new radiation therapy facility led to an appreciation for the cancer fighting power of radiation and his first experience developing a computer based cancer registry.  A career changing decision led to an M.D. at the University of Miami in 1975. Returning to the west coast, he completed his residency in radiation oncology at the University Hospital in Seattle, Washington.  His group practice in radiation oncology allowed time to pursue research and development interests, first in radiation treatment planning and then, since 1986, exclusively in cancer registry and related software applications.  For nearly two decades, Dr. Williamson served as the President of Onco Inc. In 2000, a small group of software engineers purchased Onco Inc. with the condition that Dr. Williamson stay on as Medical Director of the company. As such, he has been an integral part of the teams developing the newest versions of OncoLog as well as new database applications such as Protocol Data Manager. In addition to his decades of registry work for Onco Inc., Dr. Williamson has been on the staff of Salem Hospital for 38 years and Willamette Valley Medical Center Radiation Oncology since 2001.  He chaired several of the ROADS data task force meetings in 1993, earned the status of C.T.R. in 1994, and served on the FORDS committee in 2000-2001.  He has attended every NCRA meeting since 1989 and frequently served as a plenary or breakout session speaker, usually with a focus on data reporting and survival analysis.

Gail Levenelm – Technical Director

In 2007, Jim Hendrickson hired Gail to fill his role as the Technical Director of Onco Inc. Having decades of experience in the software industry, including 20 years at Bell Labs working for AT&T, a more qualified candidate does not exist. Before beginning her career in the technology industry,  Gail earned a B.S. degree in Mathematics at Georgian Court College in Lakewood, N.J. Since joining Onco, she has headed new product development and leads a team of talented programmers in the development of Breast Outcomes Manager and new versions of Protocol Data Manager as well as the newest releases of OncoLog, the company’s flagship product.
